I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
