Hi all. Really curious about the Bluetooth performance of the DX180. I have been using a DX170 for over 2 years now (with wireless earbuds) . Although I am satisfied with it, BT is not very stable when I am in moderately crowded areas. Device has been checked and fixed in China, so this might the best it can do. But maybe IBasso has improved it with the DX180???

I find it about the same as my iPhone 13PRO, which is good.

Is there a way to show a battery % on screen when it is charging , and not being used ?
I coincidentally stumbled on exactly this tonight. Shutdown the DX180 and plug in the charger. If you tap the volume dial (but not long enough to actually turn it back on), then you get a simple battery charging status.

Do you often shut it down when not in use? Do other people do this? I always wondered, as I treat a DAP like my phone, it’s always switched on. I’m not sure what correct way is (or if there even is one).

Depends how frequently you re using it.
I ve seen people keeping their R2R DAP on non stop as they thought the warm up is increasing SQ.
I am usually switching everything off if I am not planning to listen in the next 8 hours

No, normally I let it go to standby. I’m not sure why I turned it off this time, but when I did so I noticed the battery status.

If I may ask how does the Fiio M11s compare to the DX180 in terms of sound quality or other pros and cons? I am in doubt between those two models that cost practically the same. TIA
Ah sorry brother, I don't have the M11s with me, one of the other reviewers in our team did that one.

Did you find any specific settings for the device to go into a sleep mode or auto shut off perhaps ?

I am having trouble getting an alternative launcher to be my default system launcher. Lynx is one that keeps shutting down.

Hi guys! Will be using GoneMad as I enjoy rating my tracks. Is there any way to totally disable Mango Player?
I think this will also be possible with "ADB AppControl " on the DX180. In any case, it worked great on my DX160. It is no longer active and is no longer loading in the background.

And a big surprise for me is how well the DX180 pairs with the ZMF Verite Closed. Very impressed and for a small pocket sized DAP the Bass hits much harder than I was expecting!
I very much like that combo if adding PB5 on top.
VC really excels with Tube Amps
